A Case of Aplastic Anemia Following Hepatitis

Abstract

|
Severe aplastic anemia following hepatitis is rare.
We experienced a case of aplastic anemia with hepatitis in 18-month old boy. He was admitted due to jaundice and petechia on gum for 3 days. On admission, CBC showed marked pancytopenia and there was marked hypocellularity of all elements in bone marrow aspiration.
His clinical course was not improved in spite of multiple transfusion and oxymetholone. A brief review of related literatures are also presented.
